Prairie Gardeners.

Photos by Bob Vetter

With either tools from our homes or borrowed from Volo Bog, the Prairie Garden Volunteers pour their heart and souls into the native garden beds speckled in the parking lot and around the nature museum. Our goals are simple, keeping the native prairie beds with prairie plant species and educating the community about the endearing and necessity of these species to be called home to creatures which inhabit the earth among us. Our knowledge is diverse, and our experiences range, but what connects us to this outdoor gardening may perhaps be deeply rooted in the land.
